Health Isn’t Only Personal
Health is often framed as an individual problem, something to optimize, manage, or fix on your own. But that framing leaves out something important.
As a health and science journalist, I'm passionate about reporting on how our well-being is shaped not only by personal choices, but by the systems, cultures, and structures we live within. From access to care to cultural expectations around motherhood and wellness, health is never just personal.

Health, Science and Wellness
My work intersects with science, culture, and sometimes, personal experience
I cover a range of topics, but I frequently dive deep into:
→ Women’s health and reproductive care
→ Wellness culture and its influence on how we think about care and public health
→ The science of connection, caregiving, and community
→ Mental health and parenting
My writing and reporting have been featured in numerous national and international media publications, including The New York Times, SELF magazine, Glamour UK, Salon, Marie Claire, The Bold Italic, and others. I have made media appearances as an expert on PBS Story in the Public Square and on podcasts like Something You Should Know and SiriusXM Doctor Radio.
